We highlighted important information so you can quickly and easily see how much you owe and what you are paying for.
The language is less complicated, and the new charts show how you are using your energy. You can even see how weather is impacting your energy usage.

An improved experience for solar customers.
For solar customers, your new bill design lets you easily see when a solar production meter is in use. You can also see your kWh used and generated, as well as your energy use history for the past year. The cumulative renewable energy bank shows your previous balance, along with any amount added or removed, giving your current balance. You'll find your solar energy rate on page two at the top of billing details. In 2024, 15% of residential energy was produced by home solar panels. As a solar customer, you help power New Mexico while being an important part of PNM's zero-emissions goal.

Go Paperless
Get the same new updated bill design when you switch to paperless billing.
When you sign up for paperless bill, PNM will send your bill in an email. A PDF containing the details of your energy usage will be attached to the email.
The email is designed to provide you with the most important information at the very top, making it easy for you to quickly know how much your bill is, when it is due, and quickly pay it.

Why does my bill look different?
PNM redesigned the look of our bills for our residential and small power customers. The redesigned bill incorporates customer input making bills easier to understand and improving the overall customer experience.
How did you get customer input?
We conducted extensive customer research and engagement, receiving direct input from customers through a series of focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and surveys. We have redesigned our bill to address the input we hear from our customers.
What are the new features on the bill?
Our customers' spoke and we listened. We've changed the overall look and feel of the bills, and made the bill easier to understand by clarifying the terminology, graph, payment information, and charges in the bill.
Our residential and small power customer bills are easier to read and understand. We have made it easier to see the total bill amount, how much energy was used the prior month, and the energy history over the last year. We have also updated the message center to make important messages stand out.

The PNM bill redesign applies to residential and small power customers. Customer bills not a part of this redesign include more complexities that require additional customer input to determine improvements that need to be made.
