Eligibility & Applying
Eligibility
- Enrolled member of the Navajo Nation
- Preference given to, but not limited to, Navajo members from the Upper Fruitland, Nenahnezad, San Juan, Tse Daa Kaan and Tiis Tsoh Sikaad chapters.
Award Amounts
Award amounts are for one semester and are eligible for renewal:
- Certificate: up to $1000 / renewable for 2 semesters
- Associate's Degree: up to $1,500 / renewable for 4 semesters, dependent on financial need
- Bachelor's Degree: up to $2000 / renewable for 4 semesters, dependent on financial need
Funding for the PNM-Navajo Nation Workforce Training Program will be awarded by Navajo Technical University and San Juan College.
Academic Eligibility
Students must:
- Be admitted and registered at Navajo Technical University in Crownepoint or San Juan College in Farmington.
- Maintain grade levels set by the college to qualify for funding each semester.
Students who are currently enrolled at either schooland taking classes towards an approved certifcate or degree may be able to receive funding for the following semester.
