PNM is notifying customers in the Las Vegas area that there is an increased probability of a Public Safety Power Shutoff to prevent our electric system from igniting a wildfire. Las Vegas customers should prepare for a possible loss of power today that could last overnight. The decision to shut off power will be made only as a last resort. Conditions can change rapidly and may limit our ability to provide additional advanced notice before a shut off. If you see a downed power line, stay away and call 911. Secure any items that could blow into power lines and cause an outage. Have an emergency kit ready with items like batteries, a flashlight and water.
