PNM lights up the Twinkle Light Parade

PNM lights up the Twinkle Light Parade

Last month, PNM was proud to participate in the popular City of Albuquerque Twinkle Light Parade. The parade was a mile-long event along Route 66 on Central Ave. The float design had a simulated sun and showed how solar panels and wind turbines are used to provide electricity to the community. The solar panels use photons produced by the sunlight to generate a direct current of electricity that then goes through the powerlines and into customers' homes and businesses.

Space heaters: Comfy but expensive and dangerous

Space heaters: Comfy but expensive and dangerous

Space heaters can be popular this time of year, but they can be dangerous to use and can cost you more than most other heating. One space heater on high for 6 hours a day can add approximately $40 or more to your PNM bill. If you're going to use one, use it sparingly and turn it off before leaving the room.
