PNM helps connect Navajo families to the power grid
PNM line crews recently traveled to the greater Shiprock, New Mexico area and to tribal communities in Arizona and Utah volunteering in a nationwide utility collaboration project called Light Up Navajo.
This year, the 11-week Light Up Navajo initiative worked to connect approximately 300 homes on the Navajo Nation to the electric grid for the first time. Since the Light Up Navajo project started in 2019, more than 7,000 family homes have been connected to the power grid.
"PNM believes it is our collective responsibility to ensure that everyone have access to these essential amenities, regardless of their geographical location or socioeconomic status." said Cathy Newby, Director of Tribal Government & Customer Engagement.

Temperatures are increasing and so are scams. PNM remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of customer protection. Here are tips to make sure you don't fall victim to a scammer:

PNM will NEVER call a customer on a holiday or after hours: Mon. - Fri., 7:30 a.m. - 6 p.m. Report suspicious activity to PNM as soon as possible.
Sign Up for Outage Alerts
Outage Alerts are a convenient way for you to receive the latest updates in the event of a power outage, plus it is free and simple to sign up. We will let you know when a power outage is affecting your home or business, when power is expected to be restored, when power is restored, and what was determined to be the cause of your outage, if known.
There are multiple ways to sign up:

PNM filed the 2025 Rate Request with the New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (Case No. 24-00089-UT).

Whole Home EV Rate
Charge up while you wind down - PNM offers customers a convenient, low-cost electricity rate that can fuel your vehicle for as low as $3 between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.
Customers who sign up for a qualified charger rebate are automatically enrolled, but if you already own a charger, please apply at PNM.com/whev-application.
Receive up to $2,000 for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 home charger!
Installation is a breeze using PNM's Easy Install Method, where a program authorized contractor will install the EV charger and submit the rebate application for you. If you purchase a qualified Level 2 home charger from a program authorized contractor, they can reduce your upfront costs by applying your Home Charger Rebate at the point of sale.
Additional rebates are available for income-qualified residents who can receive up to $4,250 for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 home charger.
