Important wind safety tips from PNM
Safety is our top priority. As we welcome the warm spring weather, it's important to prepare for unpredictable spring weather conditions. With the winds picking up, please keep these important electrical tips in mind:

Secure outdoor items:
Safeguard your outdoor spaces by securing loose items like patio furniture and garden tools. This prevents them from becoming hazards or blowing into power lines.

Stay clear of downed power lines:
Even if a downed line is not actively sparking, always assume it is carrying electricity and immediately call PNM at 888-DIAL-PNM.

Report power outages:
Wind can blow branches, tarps, and trampolines into power lines, causing power outages. Never attempt to remove anything from the lines. Stay away and immediately report the outage by calling 888-DIAL-PNM.

Use caution around power lines:
During lighter winds, it can be fun to fly kites or drones or other aerial devices with your family. Fly such items away from power poles, overhead power lines, and substations.

Save Money with the new Time-of-Day Pricing Plan

We are excited to launch a new pricing plan that gives you more control over your energy bill.

This year we have launched a brand new pricing program that gives you more control over your energy bills. The Time-of-Day pricing plan tells you when the cost of electricity is the lowest, so you can shift your energy use and save money on your bill. Shifting how you use energy can be simple and easy because the times of day that prices go down are the same every weekday. When you sign up for the Time-of-Day plan, PNM will install a free cellular meter that will allow you to learn about your energy usage. Residential and Small Power customers who sign up may receive a bill guarantee that ensures you won't pay more than your original after twelve consecutive months (one full year) on the program.
