Congratulations to the 54 nonprofit organizations across the state who have earned $250,000 in grants. Here's how they will use the grants to save energy and free up budgets to help more people in their programs.

Alamogordo

Center for Protective Environment, Inc.: Replace two washers and two dryers with energy efficient models. $4,799.88

United Way of Otero County: Increase insulation, replace windows and front door, and upgrade lighting. $5,000

Adelante Development Center Inc.: Upgrade 41 lights with LED interior and exterior lighting in three locations. $5,000

Albuquerque Center for Peace and Justice (ACPJ) : Replace refrigerator, & replace drafty door with an energy efficient door with dual pane windows. $4,200

Albuquerque HealthCare For The HomelessUpgrade interior and exterior lighting for a safer environment for clients and staff. $5,000

Albuquerque Little Theatre: Converting to LED cyclorama lighting system. $5,000

Albuquerque Rescue Mission: Upgrade twenty-three interior lighting fixtures. $3,105

Animal Humane Association of New MexicoInstallation of sustainable insulation in a roof which currently has no insulation.  $5,000

Assistance League of Albuquerque, Inc.Retrofit all ceiling fixtures in main building with LED T8 replacement lamps. $5,000

Boys & Girls Club of Central New Mexico: Replace inefficient windows. $5,000

Casa Esperanza: Install forty ceiling fans with efficient lighting. $5,000

Explora Science Center & Childrens Museum of Albuquerque: Upgrade to more energy efficient lighting in two classrooms. $5,000

Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails, Inc. Installing lighting controls and more efficient interior warehouse and exterior lighting. $4,995.42

Great Southwest Council - Boy Scouts of America: Replace 21 inefficient lights and ballasts in old building supporting 4,000 troop leaders. $4,800

Greater Albuquerque Habitat for Humanity: Replace HVAC equipment. $5,000

JCC of Greater Albuquerque: Upgrade gymnasium lighting with more efficient lighting. $,5000

Keshet Dance Company: Install duct heaters into the existing air handler units with an electric hookup into the duct heaters. $5,000

Life Roots:  Replace four refrigerators and 3 dishwashers and 1 ice maker with Energy Star appliances. $4,570

Mandy's Special Farm: Replace industrial water heater and interior light fixtures with energy-efficient fixtures and bulbs. $4,330.95

Musical Theater Southwest: Replace lights with new, more energy-efficient LED lights to keep cooling costs lower too. $4,770

National Dance Institute, Inc - Albuquerque: Replace all remaining outdated halogen light fixtures. $5,000

New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science  Foundation: Replace 35 lamps with LEDs. $5,000

Newlife Homes Inc: Replace single pane windows for increased efficiency. $5,000

Oasis Albuquerque: Install two automated doors for more efficient operations. $4,420

P B & J Family Services, Inc.: Install shade cover and revamp air conditioning unit. $4,683

Rio Grande Food Project: Install a new high-efficiency 4 ton air conditioning unit. $5,000

Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico: Purchase three new stacking washer and dryer units. $4,902

SAFE House: Replace CFL fixures with LEDs. $1,000

Samaritan Counseling Center Foundation,Inc.: Replace two large storefront style windows. $4,415

Supportive Housing Coalition of New Mexico: Replace aging refrigerator units with Energy Star appliances at Sunport Plaza Apartments. $4,941

The Storehouse, Inc.Upgrade cooling equipment and purchase 2 portable evaporative coolers that will provide flexible cooling. $4,300

Therapeutic Living Services Inc.: Replace 24 lighting fixtures on the first floor. $5,000

Vortex, Inc.: Purchase new LED theatrical lighting instruments. $4,402.95

Working Classroom, Inc.Install three energy efficient windows/passive solar unit combos ("Trombe walls"). $5,000

Belen Art League: Replace fluorescent and old track lighting with LED lighting. $5,000

Deming

St. Vincent de Paul: Install a new, efficient evaporative cooler for the after-hours building of the homeless shelter & soup kitchen. $1,325

Animal Welfare Coalition of Northeastern New Mexico: Replace washers and dryers with more efficient units. $5,000

The Samaritan House, Inc.: Replace two large storefront style windows in the Samaritan House Thrift Store. $4,250

Spirit of Hidalgo: Replace doors, windows, lights with more efficient ones. $5,000

Los Ranchos

Dar a Luz Birth & Health Center: Replace nine original casement windows. $5,000

Peralta

Bosque Farms Rodeo Association: Replace aging windows and heating, venting, air conditioning. $4,570

Rio Rancho

St. Felix Pantry: Replace existing 20 plus year old single-pane windows with more energy efficient windows. $5,000

Ruidoso

The Humane Society of Lincoln County: Update lighting in two locations: thrift store showroom and intake/adoption center. $4,638.32

Santa Fe

ARTsmart: Change 100 bulbs to LED lights and replace refrigerator/freezer. $5,000

Friendship Club: Replace windows for better operations. $4,750

Habitat for Humanity - Santa Fe: Replace 440 watt Metal Halide light fixtures with the same number of energy efficient LED light fixtures. $5,000

Homewise, Inc.: Install four additional solar PV modules. $5,000

Institute of American Indian Arts: Replace 115 existing halogen light bulbs with energy efficient LED bulbs. $3,450

Nature Conservancy of New Mexico: Upgrade computer network switches that draw less power. $4,101.48

The Santa Fe Opera: Upgrade all lighting to LED in Opera Club. $5,000

Youthworks: Purchase new Energy Star rated air conditioning and heating units for its training facility. $5,000

Silver City

Girl Scouts of the Desert Southwest - Southern New Mexico & West Texas, Inc.: Install new LED energy efficient lighting. $5,000

Life Quest Inc.: Replace 13 single pane windows with more energy efficient windows. $4,280

Silver City Gospel Mission: Buy new energy efficient appliances to replace  old non-energy star ones. $5,000
