Thank a Lineman
National Lineman Appreciation Day is Tuesday, April 18.
This is a wonderful time for all of us to express our gratitude and appreciation for the crews who work so hard to keep our lights on. Linemen brave storms and hazardous situations every day to serve the customers with safe and reliable power, and we have an opportunity for you to help us say "Thank You". During the entire month of April, customers will have the ability to virtually thank a lineman for the special work they do.
Visit PNMThankyou.com to send a personalized thank you note to our PNM crews. The website is updated real-time so our crews can see the notes you send right away!
Staying safe in high winds
High winds can cause an unbelievable amount of damage and pose some safety risks. If you find yourself caught outside or driving in extreme winds, the follow tips can help you stay safe.
Try to find a place that will block blowing or flying debris.
If no shelter is available avoid trees, power lines, and the side of the road.
Take shelter in your car if you are not near a sturdy building.
If possible, drive to a nearby sturdy building. Otherwise, move your car to a location where it is less likely to be hit by falling trees or power lines.
Keep your distance from high profile vehicles such as trucks, buses, and vehicles towing trailers. One strong gust of wind can be enough to flip one of them onto its side.
Always assume power lines laying on the ground are energized. Do not go near them! Instead, immediately call PNM at 888-DIAL-PNM.
Power outage map improvements
PNM has updated its outage map to a feature rich, mobile-friendly experience. Designed with you, our customer, in mind, the map is updated every 10 minutes and it is easy to use on your mobile phone or computer to quickly zoom to your area to learn more about an outage and find your estimated restore time.
Help Protect Planet New Mexico
PNM is working to make Planet New Mexico a better place on Earth Day and every day. We're investing hundreds of millions of dollars towards carbon-free energy transition. You can make a difference to help the environment by eating organic when possible, learning about regenerative agriculture, using your weekly recycling bin correctly, or growing a climate-friendly garden.
