PNM Reduce Your Use Grants 2014

Supporting communities throughout New Mexico

The PNM Fund seeks proposals that support the communities PNM serves. We look forward to partnering with you. 

  • Grants will be awarded up to $5,000-$250,000 in funding is available.
  • Grants should clearly demonstrate energy efficiency and include plans to build awareness of PNM.
  • Applications may only be from 501(c) 3 nonprofits.

Grant Cycle

The 2014 grant cycle is closed. Grant awardees will be notified no later than October 31, 2014.

  • Can Reduce Your Use Grants fund a nonprofit organization that leases its building?
    • Yes, Reduce Your Use Grants can fund a nonprofit organization that leases its building if it pays the electric bill. 
  • Our nonprofit organization does not have a PNM account; can we still apply for a Reduce Your Use Grant?
    • No, all nonprofit applicants must have a PNM account. 
  • Can Reduce Your Use Grants fund staff salaries to administer the grant project?
    • Yes, Reduce Your Use Grants can fund staff salaries, for example for project supervision. As most work associated with Reduce Your Use grants will be completed by a contractor it is recommended any organization staff salaries for project supervision or administration is less than 10% of the total grant request. 
  • Can Reduce Your Use Grants fund educational energy efficiency projects?
    • No, Reduce Your Use Grants cannot fund solely educational energy efficiency projects.
  • Can Reduce Your Use Grants fund a portion of capital improvement of large-scale construction projects?
    • Yes, Reduce Your Use Grants may fund portions of these projects as long as they fit into the grant program criteria.
